FAQ
Do you have Blowers for air and gas?
We have a vast rental fleet a large range of blowers that can be used for Air application as is mostly used for aeration processes in waste water treatment plants, furnaces, industrial applications, or for gas applications including but not limited to landfill gas, methane, oxygen, carbon dioxide CO2, sour gas, nitrogen (not sure if you want to put the entire list). We also rent blowers for special applications custom built for specific use that can include after coolers, controls, and integration with the customer Scada system.
Are you units oil free?
We provide oil free blowers that come in either grease lubrication oil lubrication or air bearing that need no lubrication. In all cases the blowers are considered oil free as there is no connection between the lubricated bearings and the parts of the blower where the air or gas is being processed through. These blowers can be used or integrated in food plants and are considered as food grade, used in high content oxygen application where the contamination with oil and/or grease could be catastrophic.
Who is responsible for startup?
Startup is offered in all of our rental proposals, and is mandatory that we provide our technicians for any blower that are larger than 200 hp. Anything less that 200 hp can be handled by the customer if requested and we will provide online support that is available 24/7 via or emergency line. Before shipping all the control panels, soft starters, variable drives (VFD) and pre programmed based on the customer application and information provided. Any changes and fine tuning can be ether done by the customer or we can send the required expertise to assist with it.
Is it plug and play?
Yes, our equipment is designed and programmed to be considered as plug and play in most applications. However some installations may require basic setup changes, re-configuration or integration from the customer side depending on the complexity of the project. Smaller unit (boxed units) are completely plug and play and do not need any adjustments. The units are shipped with instructions for assembly, operating manuals, programming manuals and parameters lists so that the customer can refer to the se during the installation process.
How do I control the blower?
The rental blower comes with various control options. See typical setups below:
Setup 1 – Soft starter with control valves – The basic setup and the most commonly used is a soft starter RVSS that comes either skid mounted with the blower or on a separate skid as needed by the customer. Flow control is achieved via throttling the inlet valve (included with the package). All soft starters come pre programmed and have an HMI keypad. This requires minimal skill to use and is a very reliable setup.
Setup 2 – Variable Drive (VFD) Speed control – This setup is ideal where efficiency is a priority and in those applications where the customer has enough instrumentation on their system to use data to control the blower in the most efficient point as possible. The speed control is done via the HMI keypad that is provide with the panel. The VFD is either built in on the package or comes shipped on a separate skid. This setup typically requires a minimal to medium skill by the end user.
Setup 3 – Local Control Panel – standalone system – For long term rentals we provide a large Human Machine Interface (HMI) panels and Local Control panel, LCP, S-LOC, that provides a higher level of controls and monitoring of the rental equipment. The HMI panel makes it a very user friendly setup and provides better reporting on the health of the blower.
Setup 4 – Local Control panel – integrated with customer Scada or 3rd party control system – We want that the rental equipment ca operate in the same way as your permanent blowers Our S-Loc control panels our fully integrate able with any 3rd party system. Our in house team of programming and control engineers will assist the customer to integrate in part or in full our control system with the customer plant management system. For long term rentals we also offer the option to custom setup the entire control panel.
